My 19th birthday...

Summary

Morning 12.00am

~I had my very first surprise from a group of friends led by Seaweed. And a present was passed to me by Jen, as I couldn't go out to meet them, because I was wearing my pyjamas and was in a state of "SUPER BLUR"(what to do, because I was nagged up by my friend, 1U to meet my special guests.)

Morning 12.10am

~Jen, 1U, and Hui Hui wished me a very happy birthday!!

Morning 6.45am

~Met Amirah and she wished me.

The whole morning

~All my classmates sang me birthday song in the class for two times,i.e. psychology class and mathematics class. Not in other lessons because we all were too busy with the discussion and works. Heavy loads!!!

Afternoon 1.15pm

~Mum sent me a very warm and sweet greeting. And I was startled and felt extremely surprised knowing that mum never use the phone to text others. And I was the very first one. Ohh~~so touched!!!

~Mum promised me to cook "chinese mihun soup" and "red eggs" for me on Friday.Woohoo~~

Night 7.00pm

~Xandra and Eunice arrived.

Night 7.15 pm

~Almost all the guests invited by my lovely housemates arrived except one person. All my honourable guests started to grumble as they already felt very hungry. Me too!! Hoping that I can eat the pizzas as soon as possible because my stomach is calling for help already.=P

~Couldn't stand for it anymore, so I called all my friends start to eat while waiting for the late comer. LoL...(>O<)

Night 7.30pm

~Finally, all were here with me. Celebrating my birthday with pizzas and tiramisu cake.

~Photographic session was taken place all the time.

Night 8.45pm

~Birthday celebration..chit-chat...

~All the three men were left at the living room, watching news.

~While girls...went for pillow talk!!!

~All dismissed.

~Went to Li Ting's house to upload birthday photos.

I'm adopting Western meals now. Started to do so after finding out my pocket $$ lose too fast.
Wahahaha...joking~=P

But sandwich is really good, taste nice, and can put whatever stuff in it as long as you like.

Cheese, Potatoes, Tomatoes, Eggs, Cabbage, Meats, Tuna, Mayonnaise, Butter, Peanuts, Chocolates(if you want), etc.

Chocolate bread, plain white bread, wheat bread, butter bread, etc.

So many choices available, so many raw materials can choose and so many types of bread can choose. Everyday different flavor and different layers. Haha..looks like I'm having a subway sandwich shop in my house. Nice!!

Neither bus nor car i chose, it's the conventional train I preferred.

Train, train, I never take a train for long journey.

She approached me last night. And she asked me something. Face-to-face, I talked to her...while my brain was JAMMED.

~PART 1~

She:"Why choose train?"

Me:"I don't know."

She:"Why not bus?"

Me:"I also don't know."

She:"Why you don't know?"

Me:"Because I really don't know how to answer your questions."

She:"All are just simple questions."

Me:"Yes, I know."

She:"This time you know."

Me:"Yes,indeed."

She:"So can you answer my questions now?"

Me:"What questions?"
She:"Why not bus?"
Me:"Cannot."

She:"What cannot?"
Me:"Cannot answer your questions"
She:"What a nonsense!!"
Me:"That's why you're concerned."

~PART 2~

She:"Then who knows it??"

Me:"I don't know. But HH knows."

She:"Who is HH?"
Me:"My friend."
She:"How did you know she knew?"

Me:"Because she already told me the reasons."

She:"Then you should know how to answer my questions!!"

Me:"I'm sorry, but I still don't know."
She:"How come you don't know!?" (temper flared.)
Me:"Because when she told me, I didn't listen."

She:"You should tell me earlier."
Me:"You didn't ask me to say so."
She:"You are suck!"

Me:"Thanks for your compliment!!"

Reverse of N.O.D.N.I

Last Thursday, I followed my cousin, Sandra going along KESAS highway to Puchong city and then going back to Sunway city to fetch two of her six maids(Quite surprise, right?). From there, I had a talk to a maid who seem friendly and loquacious enough to talk everything. Her name was Vivi. She was quite funny and almost all the moments with her, she told me something interesting about her and her homeland, Indonesia.

While sitting in the car, with Sandra as the driver. I spared my time to start a pretty surprising talk to Vivi,because I never dare to start a conversation to a foreigner, and Vivi was the first one. Thanks to Sandra who started the conversation and thanks for the intro as well.=)

Below is the summarized information I got from Vivi.

1. "NODNI"
When she talked about Indonesia or Indonesian, the term "NODNI" was used instead of Indonesian or Indonesia. At that moment, I knew nothing about the official prohibition of using that particular word in Malaysia. This was because the Indonesia government and its populaces opposed Malaysian usage of the term that was assumed as insulting and derogatory.

2. Currency.
Sandra said "They worked in Malaysia as maids, but they can be millionairesses or even billionaires in Indonesia."

They money value is much lower than that of Malaysia. Vivi told me, some examples of goods and prices sold in Indonesia and I was taken a back when I heard about the prices.

~ One candy = around 100 rupiah
~ One bread = around 300 rupiah
~ One meal = around 2,000 rupiah
~ One cow = around 3,000,000 rupiah

Cow is considered as an assets. If you have a cow in Indonesia, you are considered as a millionaire. So, have you decide to migrate to Indonesia? Think about it.

3. CHILDBIRTH
Most of the women preferred home-birth delivery(Vivi said it was because the hospitals fees were very expensive).In Indonesia, no advance technology assists you in home, all "manually" control by the midwives. One of them will hold your head to maintain your position, putting force to so-called "stick" your head on your bed. Giving birth naturally, and needles are not needed to close the wound, your womb heal up by itself. (I was SHOCKED.)

4. SIMPLY LIKE TO WORK
They like to work, and they dislike holidays, because they have nothing to do during the holidays. And they might get sick if the holidays are too long. Headache, body pain may come to them if they rest. Once I heard that, one question flashed through my mind:"Are they destined to work till die and without work they will fall sick? " Haiz...

Vivi said they like to save $$. Sandra said they like to eat salted fish with rice and vegetables repeatedly as three meals everyday.

5. KFC bitter??
Sandra told me, she had once brought a box of spicy KFC set for Vivi. And Vivi ended up not eating it and threw it away. When asked, she said Malaysian's KFC not nice, bitter one and I was like "har?" . Sandra said her $$ wasted and she didn't know what taste buds Vivi had in her tongue. Bitter?! lol...

6. Weather
Looking at the sky, Vivi told me Malaysia's weather was weird. In Indonesia, when there is no rain, there weather will be very cold, the Indonesian even scare of taking a bath as the temperature is low. Whereas in Malaysia, when there is no rain, hahaha..the weather will be extremely hot, even after you take a bath, you sweat again in a few minutes!! Vice verse.

Weird?! These are what I got from Vivi and Sandra, my lovely sis. Thanks to them for giving me such a wonderful moment.

I came to realize that all my friends especially those I didn't meet for so long had grown up, not in their height, but the width. As I further observed the people around me, I feel that they are just the same as they usually are, no changes, despite the critics from those relatives who were just met us once in a year, saying that we look fatter, or someone is "rounder" than before. I could explain why they will blurt out such comments while people around us usually won't (except when we gain weight too fast and too obvious). There is nothing concern about "absence makes the heart grows fonder" or whatever it is, it is because our mind had kept an old "picture" of somebody we haven't seen for so long, and put it into comparison once we meet the friends or whoever we know again. It is our mind making the comparison between the "old" friend and the "latest" friend we met, not us. That's how the comments had been made. (T__T)

What I think is what people eat determine what "size" they will have. Me too, could barely escape from my aunties, uncles' comments where I was no longer the "lidi" girl that I used to be during my secondary school years. But I would like to take it as a compliment rather than a critic, even though instinctively I still feel uncomfortable with the reality that I AM GETTING FAT. (T_________T)

Anyway, I am still who I am. (^_____^) But now I am keeping fit, hohoho on diet.

Should have posted this yesterday, but due to time constraint, I had to postpone the posting till today.
